Has anyone heard anything from Everett Morrison

In the spring and summer I got a few emails from Julie and it seemed as though things were moving along then I got an email and they had a few unexpected set backs. Now I haven't gotten any email responses since at least September. I just tried the 800 number listed on the website and the recording says it is not a working number. Anyone know anything? I have high hopes they are still around.

Their web site does not have a phone number (as you probably know). To me this raises a red flag. If I were in the business of selling cars I would certainly have a phone number on my web site. So as they say - "If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck."

You know the sad truth is if they would lay it out on the line and tell everyone whats going on...people would probably understand.

But just doing nothing is what really pisses people off.

I didn't even notice that there wasn't a number anymore. I have an old 800 number that I spoke to someone way back when they first moved the business. That does make me wonder.

I havent seen any banner ads on the forum lately either. I guess they dropped it.

Personaly I think they are done and just cant muster up the courage to admit it...mainly to themselves.

Why don't you try calling one of their neighbors, to see what they say?

I've sent emails regarding parts delivery schedule to the website/business address and to Tom's personal email, I have not received a response from either one. It's been 2 weeks since I sent a message to the business email and now a week to Tom's personal email. I don't know what's going on, I'd sure like to get the rest of my parts.

I live pretty close to EM and have asked them (via email) if I could stop by for a tour. They agreed, I proposed a day, and they never wrote me back. This was in June or July as I recall.

I may drop by unannounced....

I got an email back from Julie this morning, there have been some setbacks, however they are still in business (barely). Keep trying....

Nice to hear that there was some sort of contact from Julie. I hope they make it....would be a shame if they didn't, tough market right now though. I've got my fingers crossed.

BBfang,

I just went by there on Monday 11/22/10 at the new shop in La Porte, Texas and Brett was working on some headers as well as two frames for future cars. After speaking with Brett it seems that it is really slow for them right now. I had informed that the members of Cobra Club were looking to hear from them soon; I hope that this helps.

It's pretty well established in the business world that there are two times when a business most needs to maintain contact with customers and potential new customers. One is when you don't have enough business and the other is when you have plenty of business. There's a lot more to running a successful business than knowing how to weld. Many local colleges have Small Business Development Centers that will help people learn how to operate a small business for little or no charge.

1) I am in the market for a Cobra.
2) I live in Houston.
3) I would seriously consider an E-M if I saw any effort indicating that they'd be around a year from now.

Hey guys, in this times is easy to understand that this kind of business are not going to make it, with so many economy set backs, but if only Julie and Tom would talk back, we could provide them with some help. Everybody needs spare parts for their older models, that they probably have around the shop, how about a garage sale? The worst part for them should be paying for that big warehouse in La Porte, if they still are there.
My regards to all

Thanks Jon, those are great news, did you get by any case Brettīs phone number or mail where to contact him?

BBfangs 11-25-2010 09:43 AM

Thanks Jon, that is good to hear. Hopefully they can put it together enough to get floating. I hope they get to the point to at least respond to current EM owners and their current needs.
