Default Assembly Manual?

Hi,

I have a 1987 build and am wondering if anyone might have an assembly manual or wiring diagrams? I have a few gremlins I have to chase down and was hoping the manuals would be of some help.

Thanks,
Dan

Dan,

I have a mid-90s vintage EM, but no Assembly Manual. I did rewire the entire car myself when I rebuilt it about seven years ago. I'd be happy to try and answer any question you may have.

Thanks Tommy.

I am going to start by taking the dash off to get a good look at what is going on behind there. I won't be starting for a few months yet - we have a short enough driving season in Nova Scotia so I am just going to drive as is for now. The issues are not a safety issue just a bit annoying at times. Wipers moving at a snail's pace, headlights dimming a bit when other things are turned on. It seems a general rewiring and adding some relays and checking all the grounds are in order. I also have an external regulator for the alternator which may be contributing to some of the issue so will also be checking that.

I will no doubt have some questions for you as I dig into it

I saw another post by someone here who did have an assembly manual and sent it to another user. The original person hasn't posted for some time and the other person has since sold their car and passed the manual along with it so I just thought I would check.

Thanks,
Dan

I'm the guy with the manual. If you go to the E-M social group and look in my album, I have uploaded the page from the manual with the wiring diagram. This diagram is different than the wiring that I purchased from E-M back in 1996. I'm assuming it is an earlier diagram, possibly from mid eighties. Just might suit your needs.

If you are going to keep driving it . after you experience the problems reach under and feel the back of the ignition switch and see if it is worm. If it is not you should be ok to drive.

Dan,

I have the wiring diagrams from E-M dated 1990. It's a 28 page PDF.

The bad news is that in order to make it legible I scanned it at 300dpi - the resulting file is 63MB.

If you'd like to get it I'd need to send you a DVD because it's too large to transfer by e-mail or via an upload site, at least as far as I know.

You can PM (private message) me your USPS address & I'll send you the DVD.

Tom

The wiring diagrams that Tom sent are great, a full build manual would be nice too. Not sure what you have, I find all info helps!

Thanks,
Dan
