Is EM still in business?

I know very little about EM and am trying to help a local owner, establish a value $$$. He bought a Gold and black EM at an auction in Indianapolis many, many years ago and from my brief assessment is a Corvette suspension and drivetrain-based EM. Somewhat rough shape, fair interior. Any info on prices these days for a Corvette EM. Low end, mid and high. Chevy engine and automatic tranny.

Any help is appreciated.

The original EM has been out of business for a while and not sure if the new EM company has any relationship or similarities to the original company. However, EM's do come up for sale occasionally on Cobra Country, ebay, and other places so you can do some research for pricing .

The original EM's were a fairly high end kit and pretty well built and appointed, also fairly expensive as kits go.

I owned one EM and have worked on three others. None with Corvette suspension.
I sold mine with a AOD 351w 9" for $27,000. I sole another one with C 6 351W for $23,000 both nice paint and interiors.

My guess is maybe low 20's with the Chevy motor / trannie and rough shape.

EM Values

Dwight, it's me man. Juan. Thank you, I thought yours was a Lonestar though. I read a little about EM in the early days and I understand that the early models were based on the Corvette chassis.

We hope to come your way some time later this year.

Take care,

Juan

The few EM's I've seen all had Corvette suspension and a couple had Chevy power plants in them. Pricing above seems about right IMO.

I know who you are:)

There are a lot of EM in the south because they were based in south Florida.

Most I have seen have nine inch rear ends and a couple with 8.8.

And we plan on attending at least one of KKC events this year.
See Ya

EM is still in business. The original company was bought and moved to Texas. I exchanged emails with them a couple months ago on some parts I needed for another project.

The car they make now is a little different than the ones from the 90's but they still have the tooling for the early cars.

I built one in the late '90s with the corvette suspension, Ford 428, and TKO tranny. Great car. Wish I still had it.

With the Chevy motor and auto trans, the pricing mentioned above is about right.

IMHO an EM in rough shape would be worth low 20's to high teen's. High end would be 30-35 ish. Of course I love mine, and I know Juan and Dwight have seen it at LCS many times. MrXcessive-turnupthevolume
