Purchased EM Cobra from an Estate...Trying to figure it all out.

I purchased an Everett Morrison Cobra from an estate of a gentleman that passed away. I have been working on and collecting cars since I was 12 yrs old back in the 70's, but have never had a Cobra. This one is pretty interesting.

It appears to have been built back in the late 80's (the build date on the VIN is 87). It has a Ford FE 427 in it with what appears to be C4 Corvette Front end and Rear end (never owned a C4, but from what I can find on the web, that is what's in it). It does run and drive, but it was not really built the way I would have built one.

Here are a few pictures of when I picked it up. Let me know what you guys think. I am new to this Forum but am on plenty of other car forums.

Not sure if I should just fix the small things I don't like or take the body off and kind of re-build the build :)

I would also like to get a new hood, are all the Cobra hoods the same or do I need to find an Everett Morrison hood?

Thanks in advance!

I think the first things I will remove are the UGLY wheels/tires and front and side grills!
Then replace the seats and set the ride height.

Ed,

Those things must attract each other. On my little web site in Saint Augustine there's a member named BlackSnake who has a very, very similar E-M Cobra.

When you get it going, come out and play with us!

In the meantime if you need advice or help, just holler.
