MKII shocks

Hi, gang...
Mine has original Pro Shocks, which clunk around and constantly need ride height adjustments to the coils because they don't have a lock nut. I know Koni is the new setup for FFRs, but what are maybe some options. Would the Koni's be a substantial improvement at $250 each? Thanks for your input. Kevin

I have QA1's on my Hurricane. Good coil over shock but I don't know how they compare in price to Pro Shock.

The Koni's seem to work well. At the price, they're hard to beat, I think. And they are designed specifically for our cars.

Interestingly enough, you can improve the ride with the Koni's by replacing the springs with Eibach's.

Get a set of springs and adjustable koni shocks from Gordon levy. They make all the difference in the world on your FFR. They did for mine.

I have just replaced my old coilovers.

The new ones are Öhlins - really fine stuff - they work pretty good.

(look there: Club Cobra - super's Album: SPF #011 - Picture )

But I am not sure if get those parts in the USA.

Not sure what you mean by "they don't have a lock nut". Are you talking about the nut on the end of the threaded shaft on the shock? That has nothing to do with ride height. You should put a hose clamp around the body behind the adjusting collar to hold your height setting. If the shocks are worn you can send them to Naake Suspension in Roseville, CA for a rebuild. Their work is excellent and an inexpensive alternative to buying new coilovers. I recently had mine done there and bought stiffer springs as well. Great service and excellent prices.
