FFR Kits
Do all FFR kits require a donor car?
If Yes to above could another car other that a mustang be used?
What type of suspension is used for front and rear, or does thae suspension come from the donor car?
|
Does an FFR require a donor car? NO. You could put in new parts in place of every 'donor' part. But, those new parts must be exchangeable for the equivalent '87 to '93 Mustang part or you'll have to modify something to use it.
You can utilize the suspension from an '87 to '93 'donor' car, or you could buy FFR's custom suspension parts. You'll still need an 8.8" Ford rear or IRS, which could be new or used.

When going non donor how do you know what size bolts to use. Are there kits you can buy or does the build manual say what size they are?

Squeeeg, there are a few build sites on the FF forum that have non donor build lists. As far as nuts and bolts go there are vendors who offer just about every item need to complete your build. Some are OEM ford parts some are not. Many choose the non donor route and custom build to their taste. G.:3DSMILE:
