Anyone building one - '33 hot rod

Hi all,

My son is currently looking at importing a '33 hot rod from FFR.

I was wondering does anyone know of a kit being built or anyone building one?.

%/

We are Street Rodders that found ourselves on the Cobra build and more recently a GT40 build.

But he is a big fan of the 1933's and 1934's and would like to add one to the garage as his own...%/

Is the kit available as a coupe or roadster, it appears to be?

Does it have fenders or are they available - as full fenders or cycle guards type fenders?

Is there a roof kit for the roadster in either fibreglass or frame and material options?

I hope someone from FFR may chime in here.

Had a little difficulty in emailing them direct.

Thanks guys, I know you are on the ground there and may have seen them at the FRR open days.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

We will endeavour to make contact with the Smith gang, but appreciate any thoughts in the meantime..:3DSMILE:

Bernie,
They are taking orders now, but I think they won't start shipping until around Nov. 1. The only 33's being built at the moment is the Beta builders to shake out the final wrinkles in the kit.

You can check out the FF5 website for details on the 33. I believe they said that a top is available and fenders will be available around the first of the year.

Check out the 33 forum on ffcobra.com for lots more details and some pics of the Beta cars being built. A pretty good cross section from flatheads to the new 5.4 Terminator engines going into the builds.

Bob,

Thanks mate.

I know Todd has been looking around a bit. I'll get over on the forum and have a look myself. I'm just trying to keep track of this son of mine..

I think Todd is thinking of the '33 roadster. I know it not to hard to build a tube roof frame and clothe/canvas top having done one for the Cobra. But if they supply one all the better.

We are pretty restricted here with un - fendered cars. So Todd would need a set of either cycle type guards, or full fenders/running boards.

The kit certainly looks good on the promotional site and looks to have a lot of the necessary bits and pieces.

Thanks again

FF did great job for the price! The lines are excellent and the car sits right.

Check out Mike's build at

At the rate he's going he'll finish before some of the beta builders. As for FFR, you are better to call than e-mail.

Thanks guys

As I make my through the various links I'm finding the answers to the questions I asked.

Seems as if the roof is a lift off - extra. Looks good.

I'm not sure on the fenders on the red '33 though. Will wait and see what builders do with fenders or cycle guards.

Again thanks for the various links.

Bernie
