who sells the turkey pans? what carbs can you fit in them any problems with aftermarket return spring brackets, and dual feed lines? i am just looking for information and ideas

Finish Line, Cobra Restorers, others. Most will fit standard carbs with dual feed lines no problem. You sometimes have to enlarge and shape the pan holes to accomodate a specific setup. For all but the biggest changes, a Dremel with a stack of sanding drums and a little patience and care will get you where you need to go.

when you run a turkey pan i assume there is a gasket then the pan then another gasket then carb? i already have the cobra oval air cleaner assbly with the larger k&n filter so i am unsure wich one to run. thanks for the info.

I believe Kirkham sells a couple different versions of a turkey pan.

I got mine off E-bay, they sell Polished or clear anodized.

I bought the anodize one, Looks awsome.

I got all tooled up to make them and have laser cut bases and forming tools ready etc but just can't compete with those e-bay guys on price and quality. I can provide or install the bases on to theirs to make your TP a convertible if that's the way you want to go for carb adjustments etc. Yes they just need a double gasket and bolt right on.

I got my car with a turkey pan and small air cleaner. Because I have to fit it with a PCV and closed breather to pass the California exam, and because I wanted better breathing for daily driving, I fit it with a long oval that has room on the underside to attach the breather hose. Both look good and fit well. I will be putting the pan and S&H cleaner back on for show, but the long oval has twice the breathing area of the little cleaner. Some folks have done calculations and shown that a K&N filter in the small air cleaner should provide enough flow, but a K&N in the long oval leaves no question about it. :D

It's your choice. Both look good and even the long oval is reasonably correct.

I think Kirkham was making one that was two piece that solved some of the PITA they are to deal with.

I bought one from Finishline because the price was right. I got what I paid for as the quality was very poor. Dents etc. They let me return it though. I ended up with a very nice $$$ pan from Kirkham but, again, I got what I paid for.
