I need a weber intake for an FE, anyone?

I was wondering if any of you tortured souls that have tried Weber's and went back to a four barrel have you old intake lying around. I am building an FE and I already have the Weber's but I need the intake with the canted mounts. If anyone can help, that would be great. I think I can get a new one from Pierce Manifold but I thought I would ask here first.

also, I lurk on the FE forum but I am no longer a member there. Would someone post the parts request for me on the other forum?

Maybe we should all chip in on a Weber setup and just pass it around so that everyone can get it out of their system. :D

I admit I've been looking at a Weber setup, and other than the major kewllll factor, I can't imagine why.

I posted a note in the classifieds, looking for a Weber Manifold. Will pass any responses your way

Thanks Paul.

Why? Because you can! :p If I had a BB in a go-kart I wouldn't want to spend the money on Webers either. I did it for the wow factor but would do it again for the performance difference it made in the SBF.

FWIW - - Its a normally available Blue Thunder part...

If the FE is going in that SPF40 Dean it needs either one or two Holleys to 'look' original.:)

No, this Fe is for a future cobra project. I wish I had the webers on the SPF MK1 but the 4 barral runs to good to change.

On Weber manifolds, there seems to be an option for straight or angled (10*?) distributor bore. I can't figure out what that refers to... somebody 'splain?

Rick Parker 11-29-2009 12:49 PM

The 10 degree option refers to the machining of the Carburetor mounting pads to allow them to tilt in towards engine centerline creating a lower profile for hood closure. It has nothing to do with fitament of the distributor, other than the overall being aware of the diameter.

Wow this sounds like another coooool Lampe ride.:)

Thanks. I knew this was an option and understand it, but somewhere (I can't find it now) the reference was to a "10* Distributor Port Mill" which makes no sense at all. I'll see if I come across it again.

Check out www.swartzracingmanifolds.com. They have an FE tab under products. The manifold for the high rise heads is mine. Paul has nice stuff.

dlampe 12-04-2009 06:03 PM

That is some beautiful stuff!
