professional products balancer for fe
i have a sfi professional products harmonic balancer that has the pulley on it,my engine builder said he doesnt trust them i was wondering if anyone has ever had any trouble with them coming apart?. i already had to have my 1,000.00 off shore crank machined just to get proper clearance, i know these are a offshore product also and i dont need a big hole in my hood.

thats why you need an sfi rated one---so it won't come apart!!!!the sfi rated components come with a dated sticker and are required for racing--
That's what I put on mine.

I've had the blue dress up ring on the SFI Professional Products come loose a couple times now. Makes quite a racket and looks worse than it is. Other than that they seem to work OK. I generally recommend a Romac or an ATI for more expensive builds these days - just better parts...
I like the ATI the best also----except for the fact that they continue to resist making a Ford 3 bolt pattern and insist on using the Chev pattern
I have the ATI on my FE427 and my 408 stroker. No problems.
