Quicktime bellhousing
I recently opened my new bellhousing for my FE/TKO600 combo. I had a ford bell housing and spacer on my TKO in the past. This housing doesn't need the spacer as its a little deeper than the stock unit.
I think I've figured out what all the parts are. I have a standard style clutch fork I believe. My question is that there is a small L bracket (pivot point for the fork) that came in the kit and a spacer to go under it as well. I'm thinking I need the spacer for it to work correctly. With this spacer the distance from the bracket to the front edge of the bellhousing is the same compared to the old housing. Am I right? Mat |
Different clutch styles and arm lengths need different set ups. Brent will probably chime in and let you know exactly what you need for your set up. I just changed a piston length on a hydraulic throwout bearing and I believe they wanted .1-.3" clearance of the throwout to the fork.
