Edelbrock fe head owners __

Edelbrock Performer RPM head owners, - be sure to have your engine builder check the spring pressures on your valve springs.

we recently found a set that had significant pressures that would be unsuitable for anything but hydraulic roller tappet use.

in addition Edelbrock moves their valve locations ( tips ) away from stock locations so roller rockers with shims packs are advised.

The first time we used them the springs had 170lbs seat pressure.
But why single out FE heads for mention !

That's why I bought a bare set to build them the way I want them to be set up.

Good information, nonetheless.

Regardless of brand, I always take apart a new set of cylinder heads and check the valve spring pressures, regardless of the advertised spring rate........
