Rocker shaft oil holes up or down?

Hi all,

me FE rebuilt is done, the Cleveland is replaced, the FE is sitting in the engine compartment and i'm going to final adjustments but before I will forget them I have some short quesitions.

1. Can't find an old thread where the orientation of the small oil holes in the erson rocker shaft was discussed.
In each rocker arm position there is a small oil hole in the shaft, has it to be up or down?

2. And by the way, 6 1/2 quarts is the capacity of the aluminum "Cobra" lettered oil pan for the FE sold by Tony Branda, should i overfill it?

Greetings from Germany,
Westcott
