427 intake
Hey Guys I have a 427 sidewinder intake with embossed Shelby and FoMoCo lettering with part# SFMD 9425-A. can anyone tell me what it came off from and was it ford installed?

hey sisco if i remember correctly,the sidewinder was a muscle parts over the counter
parts from ford and shelby also sold them with the shelby casting ...i am not sure if they were ever optioned from ford ,maybe as a dealer add on.the famous 68 428 cobra jet nhra record holder ran a sidewinder intake ...my 2 cents regards richard |

Try this web page. I can't find the exact casting ID you mentioned, but there are lots of photos of intakes. It does refer to a Sidewinder for a 1965 427 med. riser.. There is a photo of that one.. |
