Valve cover wire loom brackets??
I got a killer deal on some brand new polished aluminum Shelby signed valve covers from the classifieds on fordfe.com. The problem is, they don't have the OEM spark plug wire loom brackets as my "Cobra Lemans" valve covers do. Where can I buy these brackets? I can drill, tap and install them on mine.

Undy ... why use wire looms . I used wire ties . You can do things with routing that you can`t do with the plastic looms etc . No problems with the wires flopping all over either . Made it through almost 200 miles of open track time at VIR like that . If I get time this weekend , I`ll take a few pictures for you .
BTW , this is the way most race teams around here do it .... and it really looks neat , not sloppy .

Just use a piece of stainless sheetmetal, bend it 90 degrees, drill hole and mount it on the valve covers with a stainless button head screw. Then slip the OEM wire looms on the sheetmetal "Blade". BTW....nice Valve Covers.............

.040 thick sheet metal.
5/8 x 5/8 legs 1 and 5/8 wide

I removed my wiring loom brackets and ran my plug wires underneath to where they don't show. It looks much neater. Just be sure to cover the wires with heat resistant insulation. If I knew how to attach a picture, I'd so do. If interested, send me an email address and I'll send you a picture or check my gallery photos under "wlewis" on uniquecobra.com.

I knew I wasn't very smart, but I just realized there are pictures of my engine on this site's gallery.

I made the brackets out of 0.040" thick aluminum that I had left over from a cooling fan shroud project. I already had some stainless steel button head self tapping sheet metal screws laying around. I just under-bored the holes by 0.020", pre-tapped them with the screws, trimmed the screws to length and tightened everything down. About an hour's labor...

YOu mjight also check with Gessford Machine. They make some pretty nice looms for FE motors.

Thanks everyone for the different wire routing options. The thing is... all my plug wires are cut to length for the way I currently route them. To change the routing would require me to buy some new wires to trim and looms to install. I actually like the "OEM" way I've run them and really don't want to spend time and dollars building a new set of plug wires.
