Valve Cover Interference

I am in the process of switching from the lemans cast aluminum valve covers to the chrome pentroof covers. The problem I ran into was interference at the ends of the rockers hitting the ends of the VC. I was able to push the VC on, but not what I like. Has anyone else had this issue? Not sure I want to get spacers. Maybe double VC gaskets? Maybe a ball peen hammer selectively administered? Any help or direction is appreciated.

Thanks, Jim

Edit: The rocker STANDS are hitting the VC, not the rockers..

Are aftermarket rocker stands hitting or the ends of the rocker shafts?

The end rocker stands are hitting the VC, not the shaft.

not unusual, i have a set of older PSE end stands that hit, i had to machine a angle on the side to clear the valve covers.

Very nice setup. Great improvement over OEM. I will defer to FE folks with more first hand knowledge but my first thought would be to ask if a small amount of material could be removed from the end stands without compromising their integrity? Short of that modifying the cover would seem to be the only other option.

thanks rick, i made the shaft stands and reverse engineered the PSE end stands.
end stands take custom head studs.....

I believe they are Dove, without opening up the VC tonight. Here is an older picture I took.
It looks like I can take a little material off both end.

you could probably get away with a little material removal just at the top outer edge, its probably hitting on the curvature of the cover.
i would grind the pointed end at the top too a tad....
yep
looks like Dove......are they his rockers too? if so while your in there, inspect for cracking.......just sayin'...
