FE chrome fuel rail?
I have seen some FEs with a solid chrome or stainless fuel line that runs from the mechanical pump up, slightly diagonally at front of engine, to the carb.
Cant seem to see where to buy one - anyone got one and know where they are sold?
thanks,
Kevin

If you are talking about original hard fuel lines and fuel logs (rails) Greg Donohue Restorations and Obsolete Ford Parts have some of the stuff. You need to be ready to tell them exactly which manifold you are running and whether or not you are running the stock OEM inline canister fuel filter. If you aren't, the stock lines may not work.

...in which case you can easily bend your own like this from stainless or mild steel:

Buy the correct fuel log and 45 degree fitting as El suggested or from Cobra Restorers. If you make your own you can eliminate the canister filter as I did.

thanks guys.
after re-reading this a few times and refining my google search I finally found this:
Classic Tube MUB1002-SS - Classic Tube Carburetor Lines - Overview - SummitRacing.com
dont know how much time i spent looking, but once i was onto the right key words (tomato/tomatoe) from the above posts, it was easy.
- and you're right, there are 100s of varieties on the Summit site, so i need to confirm i get the right one.
I shall be in San Diego on the 4th Feb, so hopefully Summit can ship direct to my hotel before i check out on the 12th.
thanks,
kevin

Showing up at the airport with a long, skinny metal tube will get you strip-searched and meeting a lot of new friends with rubber gloves on...%/:LOL:
Good luck with that Kevin.

Good luck with that and getting it to match your carb setup. Thousand different possibilities there.

Dearborn Steel Tubing, I believe all of the before mentioned vendors will NOT have a chrome fuel rail, just take it to a chrome shop, can't cost more than 100.00. I sold one about a year ago, might have gotten that one fron Carl's Ford.

Spectre performance has a lot of chrome accent parts. Here is the dual feed rail for a Holley - I did not see a chrome fuel line though. It could easily be a custom made piece. That might not be too hard to get your hands on. BUT If you do find one let me know. I'd like to have it as well. Dressing up a 427 myself.

If buying a turkey pan, buy the one with de-mountable base. Wish I had, George brought these out just after I got mine - they're a great idea.
