power steering pump mounting

Anyone have suggestions/pics of ps pump mounting on passenger side below alternator. I just don't think I have the room on the driver's side for a pump. My lonestar seems to have much more room on the passenger side. Oh yea, its an FE motor. Thanks for any help.

can't someone offer something on this? If not show us how you mounted your power steering pump on the DS.

i don't recall any factory bracket to mount on passenger side. however, a saginaw pump is rather small it may squeeze into the driver side. the brackets attach to the water pump and the pump doesn't stick out past the head.
if you are using the front mounted oil filter adapter i could see where the room available may be meek.

if not you may have to consider a remote reservoir to get a aftermarket pump to fit on the passenger side

here are some alternatives, there was one at the lower right that looks small.

Thanks for the ideas. That might be best option. It will just be a challenge for me to fab up a bracket. Thanks again.

what about electric power steering? Isn't that a good option?

Sites and vendors such as those below might provide assistance:

Racing Applications -AGR Performance - MB Motorsports

Racing Steering Boxes And Pumps - Turn One Steering Systems - Circle Track Magazine

Another alternative is contacting a local race car builder
