FE 427 SO alternator
My FE 427 SO alternator died on me Saturday, I ordered a replacement from Summit Tuff-Stuff chromed apparently single wire. I have three wires, jow do I convert this to accomplish this installation. Whoever shoehorned this alternator deserves a Medal of honor**) any suggestions?
Tks

B1, you have a PM.

Don't buy a single wire, period. Your output voltage runs over one volt lower than a comparable three wire. Your cooling fan and the rest of your electrics will be adversly affected.

I have a 1 wire on mine and have had no problems.
Just make sure you have a good ground to your block and use a large gauge wire from the alternator to the battery cable at the starter solenoid. I think I used 6AWG for the charge line and I have 2AWG welding cable for the battery and starter cables.
