Tunnel Port advise needed
I just bought a E M car with a SO Tunnel Port in it. I am pretty familiar with the 428 CJ but this is my first 427. Anyhow, I'm wondering about tuning specs for it. It has a Crane Computes (?) cam, 280-290 duration,579-605 lift, valve setting of 22 intake 24 exhaust while hot. It currently has an Edelbrock 750 carb and a Mallory Unilite setup. It seems to break up a bit when I open it up and then it straighten itself out. Anyhow, what I want to know is the following : 1. Any ideas about the timing settings ? 2. What carb would you recommend for it ? 3. What about the Mallory ? 4. I was thinking of replacing it with a dual point ? Any ideas on how to keep it cool, it seems to run hot ? Thanks for the help and I look forward to hearing your answers.
