Sal your EB link goes too car mags not the crank auction. Nice steel cranks can still go for ok money if it's a nice .010 and will polish up or needs to be cut .020. Does it have the threaded plugs or the cup plugs with retainer rings? These normally do a little better in nicer shape. Wanna trade a nice 1UB 428 crank for it? .010/.010 ready to go. Shoot me a PM if interested. Have a few things to trade.

Don't know where that link came from but that is nor my ebay ad for magaInes. How was someone able to do hijack my post!!

That's the text recognition that links you to advertisers.

Place your ad on the FE forum. I have seen nice money cranks go for $500 and up.

Sal Gerace 08-28-2012 09:32 AM

Yes I was thinking it should go for over $500.00 as well. I wil have to rely on Ebay for this one.

I think the original were cast iron.
The 390 is the same stroke.
The rage today is strokers.

With those factors, I don't see it being rare or highly desired by many, therefore not worth much to most buyers. Just one opinion.

Sal Gerace 08-29-2012 04:53 PM

Correct, this is not the crank for a guy just looking to make power. It is for the guy who wants to build a totally correct engine. It would be of little value to most, but for the purist, that's who's looking for this.

razerwire 08-29-2012 06:07 PM

428 was cast, 427 was not

427 crank price

I sold a 65 $ 427 crank for $450 a couple of years ago.
