edelbrock heads

I need to get a set of heads for my 427 s/o and i was thinking of getting a set of bare edelbrock heads. I know there made for the smaller 2.09/1.66 valves, but does anybody know what a ballpark figure would be for a machine shop to do the work to accept the larger 2.19/1.73 valves would cost.

We sell them with all of that already done...

Brent,
What kind of flow numbers are you getting with a simple port match?

blykins 01-24-2013 11:15 AM

Usually the heads with a nice valve job and some clean up hit around 270-275. It goes up from there depending on how much effort you want to put into them, and we routinely get about 325 @ .650" with the ported heads.

I got 253 x 214 @.650 with a simple port match to the BT intake and had them balanced to the best cylinder. They should get the bigger numbers without any issue.

Have a pair of those on the shelf right now already done. Original customer went another direction. Had them on the FE forum at a discount. Drop me a PM if interested.
