Side Oiler identification characteristics
Aside from the main cross bolts, does the SO needs to have screw-in freeze plugs?
Are there any side oilers with stamped freeze plugs? |
Yup screw in freeze plugs and socket screws on the drivers side oil passage rib.

This is supposed to be a side oiler but has stamped freeze plugs.
Any thoughts or advice on this block? |
It may have been drilled out as a side oiler or it may have come that way, similarly with the crossbolted mains, they may have been added or come that way.
Sometimes features like that are there and not functional. |
