Which Carb has the lowest side profile and affords the greatest amount of clearance to the hood?

Hey Dan, I found this on a board from the dark side so...................
"I just called Holley and Edelbrock (figured might as well go straight to the sources) and both claim that their standard square bore carbs are 3 1/4" from the base of the carb up to where the air cleaner sits. So, no gain there.
As an aside, holley rep mentioned that their 8055c which is a spreadbore qjet replacement carb is actually taller at 3 1/2"."
