how about 2 1247 glues togeather?
MOTORHEAD Ted what is the thickness of 2 1247 glues togeather? I have done this on a motor with the same problem as you. I don't remember what the new thickness was. We hightaced both sides and let dry for 24 hours. Need 2 guys to install intake. Used studs in the heads and nuts with washers attached. Start in the middle and follow the torque sequence to get manifold nuts to spec. Do this in 5 pound readings. Pain in the butt, but works. If this doesn't work, "O" ring the intake ports and use rubber gasket seals like on LS motors. ONly other Idea is to buy flat steel sheet and make spacers to bolt between the intake and heads with RTV or gaskets. good luck Rick
