Sonic Map of a 427 SO >?
Anyone have a sonic wall map of a 427 S.O block they would care to share from a compare and contrast point >?
I am working with a Customer with a detonated 427 they had built and we have found core wall combined thickness in the .0900" range ( including the sleeve ) what it looks like is someone built up a core-shifted 427 Marine block and when the new guys rebuilt it, - they put in a 462 stroker kit in this.... --pushed right through the side cylinder wall of #6, we also found cracks on the long axis of the liners front to back..... a sonic check would have saved him 25K+ ( all of old money plus new engine ) will post pics. I've seen maps on .30 over S.O. 427s that had one or two .069 spots on non thrust areas. Service blocks I think.

Need more info - but .090 on a 427 is not at all unusual
