428 crank info needed
I'm looking for a replacement crank for a 428 mine is cracked and the machine shop doesnt recomend repairing it. Did Ford make a cast and a steel crank for its 428's ? Thank Olaf

HI ALTOF. FORD POWER PARTS WILL HAVE YOUR CRANKSHAFT. IT IS GOING TO BE A 10-10 CUT AND AROUND 500.00$ TO GET 562-921-5300 HOURS 12-7PM M-F AND SAT 10-4. Thanks Rick, I found one from a freinds freind but they are getting harder to find. I remember the days when a 428 could be bought for $400 all day long no wonder so many people are going to the 460 motors (cheaper to build and parts are available) Olaf

428 crank price
I called my local family owned parts store and asked for a price on a 428 crank. He, Gary, called his source in Brimingham, Al and they gave me a price of $380.51 plus tax. A local speed shop said about $500.
