plumbing a PCV using a TP C7OE-9425-A intake
I'm setting up a elect vacuum pump to handle the brake vacuum needs on my Tunnel Port SPF Cobra. Apart from that my other vacuum requirement is a planned pcv system.
I would like to run a pcv but unsure about pcv options. I can plug a pcv into a valve cover and run a breather on the opposite side VC or I can put a pcv into the block off plate at the back of the intake. This TP 2x4 intake has an equalizer tube cast between the 2 carb plenums. If I plumb the pcv into one of the two ports (R or L side) situated within this equalizer area of the intake beneath the carb bases. Will that be acceptable? I would like to run the pcv out of the back of the intake draft tube plate because it is a cleaner look though it may be more efficient on the valve cover. Any thoughts on that welcome too. I would run a PCV valve in one cover with a small air/oil separator inline, then plumb it to the fitting you've pointed to in your pic.
On the other cover, two LARGE breather hoses, one to each aircleaner base. |
Gary are you talking like a Moroso air/oil separater or something even smaller?
My air cleaners are Stellings and the bases are to small to access. Ray |
Yes Ray, something like Moroso would be fine.
Can you plumb the other side to a separate breather can? Just an idea to keep breather fume residue off your valve covers. You could also plumb the pcv to the back as you say, and have a breather filter on each valve cover. The engine would then be more symmetrical. |
