No

Just told wife I had another "unexpected expense" and it had to be addressed immediately. I told her not to get too shocked when the CC comes in that this will save us a lot of grieve in the future.

Her only comment was "I sure hope we can get this car finished soon-because I want new carpet this spring"! I am not about to tell I think what we have looks fine, but I think it does. I wonder if this is get even time?

CobraEd 01-07-2002 12:37 PM

Your screwed!!!

Sonny 01-07-2002 01:05 PM

carpet, who needs carpet?

hope ya got a discover/sears card that'll hold it, she will probably not bury your sorry rear in the yard for spending the carpet money, but you just might get away with makin payments on the carpet, when it'll never fly for the cobra black hole that she can't see....ha, ha

RickLee 01-07-2002 02:51 PM

I am learning ... The Hard Way...I bet you won't be done with just the carpet:D

You are right BLACKJACK they never seem to catch up. If they only knew how much this stuff really costs!
I hope she don't read THIS post!

Turk 01-07-2002 03:49 PM

ST
If Jackie doesn't read it, I will make a point to print it and hand carry it to her, when I see you guys during SAAC.
Am I STILL Welcome?

TURK

ST 01-07-2002 04:49 PM

Your always welcome, but she'll probably be shopping when you get here.
PS> Don't forget your blanket, the garage floor gets a little chilly this time of year!!!!!!!!

Clois Harlan 01-09-2002 08:31 AM

Catch up!

I am not sure they even think they can catch up but I believe they want to let us know that they know. Besides this allows them to go for that frivalous shopping trip they have been waiting on for awhile, knowing we probably won't say a word.

I know I won't!

Rick Parker 03-27-2002 11:07 PM

I called the bank to try and get the credit card limit raised to 175K. I told them I had some unexpected (!) expenses, (My wife) says whats fair is fair! Now how much is that new house????????
From what I can see they may have to put a new UPS truck on just to haul the stuff she's been buying! The dog starts barking when it hears the damn brakes of the UPS truck. Now I just have to train him to scare the truck away!!!!!!!!! Isn't that why they chase them?

Rick......

Bill Wells 03-28-2002 04:28 AM

you are dead in the water captain !!! welcome to the 'dollar for dollar club". Modern math in my household is : for each $ spent by me on my toys, she spends an equal amount on her !!! Therefore, I look at all costs now as DOUBLE: 4 tires at $150 each=$1200 one way or the other !!! This is tougher taxation without representation than what Uncle Sam can do to ya. Bill, going broke fast here

427sharpe 04-03-2002 09:52 AM

C'mon you guys! Stand up like REAL HUSBANDS and just beg first and get it outta the way!
