novice question...installing push rods...
1 Attachment(s)
427 SO. I was asleep when I pulled the push rods out to reseal the intake manifold. Now I can't remember which end is up. I assume that the ball end goes down, against the solid lifter, and the "cupped" end catches the roller rocker...but, i'd like confirmation or correction. thanx steve (here's a shot of the rod)

Steve,
Correct, and sometimes a dab of grease on the rounded end will help hold the rod in place when reinstalling the rocker arms. Maurice |
Thanx Maurice for the quick answer and pearl.s

Steve, is this the same engine that you and I were working on regarding the carb?
|
Hi Patrick...yes it is....the $^&*()&^*%#@ rear intake manifold leak was makin' me nuts. Almost back together, but probably on the auction block ....too many cars and not enough space. thanx steve

Steve, I'll give you $100 bucks to take that POS off your hands. ;)
V/R, Another Steve |
thanx for the offer, but things aren't quite that bad! However, the car is for sale, and with the intake now dry, it's a great car. Wish I had it 25 years ago, with less traffic and faster reflexes. Oh well, as Enzo reportedly said, "I make cars that young men want, but only old men can afford". steve
