This is the balancer that I predominantly use and it lines up perfectly with all the factory pulleys and brackets.

Good to know that the pulley will line up. I guess where I am confused is how the new dampener will be over 1/2" thicker, wont that make my pulley not track correctly with the water pump and alt? Is it maybe the inner and outer ring are thicker but the mounting plate for the pulley remains in the same spot which would keep the pulley in the exact location it is in now? Sorry, I know this may be a stupid question/concern to you because you see it everyday. Thanks for your help

That tip about putting a white paint line down the back or front of the dampener, across the rubber joint, is a good one.

I did this about 5 years ago. when I suspected my timing had moved. Did the whole timing checker deal with the top dead center tool to verify it had not moved. I marked it at that time. I have checked it a few times and it had not moved. The car only got about 1000 mile on it since then. I started it up about a month ago after sitting for a year. After it warmed up, I revved it up a few times. I have a funny feeling the rubber may have dried out enough that a few high revs caused the movement. It was also sitting a year before that. So basically 2 starts in 2 years!

I found a tech line for Day-co, they make Power-bond. I called, very nice people.Their tech guy confirmed that the mounting plate for the pulley would stay in the same spot even thought the inner and outer ring is thicker so I will be ordering one today. The reason they are thicker is because of the high perf rating

Got the part tonight, looks nice!I dont where those thickness measurements came from, just checked and outer ring measures 1.095 thick.
Thank you Brent for the recommendation
