Need oil pump pickup suggestions
428 with a 6.5 quart T pan 6” deep I am changing from an 57HV to a 57B pump and not sure where to get the correct pickup, current HV pickup was too short and screen end was on a pretty good angle, back was just touching pan and front was up about an 1”. Do the HV and B pumps use the same pickup? Would it be acceptable to heat and bend the pickup tube? If not a correct part number would really help. Lastly how do I check to see if my edel heads from 1999 have oil restrictions? Thanks. PS my machine shop receipt just says ( restrict oil & prep block $120) they are now closed. Do the Edel heads come with oil already restricted?
