Booster connection?

I have a 428 with an edel RPM manifold and have my brake booster connected in the port on #5 cylinder, that spark plug is always and little whiter than the rest of plugs, might I benefit from drilling and tapping the 1” carb spacer on the primary side for the booster? I have about 12” of vac at idle, canister with check valve, could use a little more brake boost.

Yes, you will. A single runner only has vacuum when the intake valve is open, during the intake stroke. But the plenum has vacuum all the time. You will get a stronger and more consistent vacuum there.

I have my PCV and brake booster on the same connection at the back of the carb. The PCV is close so there is no oil in the line. Also a steel line with rubber connects.
