Good FE Breathers?????
I purchased $9.00 motorsport valve cover breathers. Simply put, they are crap. Anyone know where to purchase quality billet twist-on breathers and caps for FE covers?????

Got my FE billet valve cover breathers from Summit.
http://store.summitracing.com/ Look under "Dressup" page. Zderf ;) |
Zderf,
Are they twist-on or are you using a grommet and a push-in style. I have a pic of your engine (very nice BTW) and I see you are using one breather and one PCV. Do you have part numbers by chance? Having trouble discerning which is correct on the Summit website. Thanks a bunch. Regards, John |
Billet Specialites
I can't recall my P/N's exactly, but I'm thinking that Summit's web site is not showing all that they handle. Mine are the 1.25" rubber grommet "push-in" type.
Here is Billet's complete line of breathers that you can review. http://www.billetspecialties.com/pro....lasso&-search These are the pair that I have: http://www.billetspecialties.com/sho....lasso&-Search You may have to call Summit, as I find they have way more stuff than is on the web site or in the catalogue. Or, just buy direct at the same price (although Summit is really good about taking stuff back). Good luck.... Zderf |
Thanks
Zderf,
Makes sense now. Thank you very much. Regards, John |
I use the Ford Motor Sport one too.. Mine are just ok.. Do you just not like the appearance (cheap??). I would like a billet unit but likewise I have never found a twist in that was better than the ford unit.. (and I have found worse) I also run a PCV and it is also a cheap chrome unit, hey at least it matches the Ford Motor Sport breather. I had a billet type PCV unit in the manifold behind the carbs and it looked great but the charge coming out of the manifold was too hot and made the carbs load up (too rich)...
