Your buddy got hosed. Lets say you can buy a 428 for $8,000. That means friend payed $23,000 for a 427? Southeern automotive sell complete 427 SO for $11,900. I had one built last year (not from Southern) for around $12,500 from pan to carb. assembled and dyno tested.
