Approx value?

Last night I saw a both a 3 x 2 manifold with carbs and air cleaner and a 2 x 4 manifold with carbs and air cleaner for an FE (427?)

What is the approx value?

Note: both intakes were Aluminum and appeared OEM

well.. the 3x2 you describe did not come on a 427 in any form of Hi-Po option from Ford.. It did come on 390's ans 406 FE motors and you may have seen some on a 427's but those would not have been the way to go for a 427..

Value?? Depends on condition.. Polished aluminum with rebuilt carbs.. With new linkage.. Maybe $1500.. Basic running unit maybe $800.. Poor condition maybe $250-500..

The 2x4 units are out there.. most are not original and if they are they are not cheap.. But manifolds are pretty availiable for between $300 and $1,000 (but cheaper repo's are out there for $500) and new carbs can be gotten from Holley for $200 ea.

Good luck,

I have a aluminum intake with 3 original 2-barrel carbs and oval air cleaner. Carbs should be rebuilt. Believe this unit not used for at least 10 years. It's been in my garage that long! Also this unit for a Galaxie not a T-Bird. Interested?

I looked up the OEM prices in 1966 for both the set-ups listed.. The 3x2's went complete for $264.. The 2x4 went for $249 with 550 carbs...

A lot of money back in the day.. At those prices adjusted for inflation these units should be over two grand today..

Thanks!

The guy that had them wanted to sell but had no idea of value.

I told him I'd check with you guys!

I'll pass it along.

Thanks
