64 T-Cobra?

Thomas Gayer 06-28-2002 06:19 AM

Carroll Shelby used the Big Block overflow that came with the Ford big block motors. The overflow was plentiful on 64 T Birds and other motors of that era that used the big block. I purchased a new overflow from a lady in NY city for $31 and just wanted to see how it looked. There never was a real Cobra, it has always been a bastardization of AC car parts or Ford car parts, wheels etc. Even Enzo Ferrari was going to put a motor in one, but the French/American english language proved to difficult a barrier. It would have been a Ford/Ferrari, not that AC english crap car. Oh the overflow I got was for a 61 Ford. The only difference is that the 351/427 Windsor uses a different water inlet. I guess I could put 64 T Bird on my license plate, but what about the Mus II front end or the 88 Tbird rear,or the toyota wipers or the datsun heater core. perhaps the license plate should say BASTARD....
