Shipping a Cobra abroad

I have a potential buyer for my B&B Cobra who lives in Norway. Does anyone know of a good auto transporter who can ship a car from Houston to Norway?

I imagine there are a lot of issues I need to worry about. I would appreciate your comments on international shipments.

Hi Steve. Did you try calling Bryan? He just shipped the silver shop car to Hawaii about 2 weeks ago. I don't know who set up the shipping, Bryan or the customer. He might get you started in the right direction.

Contact an international freight forwarder such as KUHNE & NAGEL, DANZAS. It is no big deal,
you arrange to load your car in a 20' container. Chalk it down by nailing chalks in the floor.
Be sure to make the terms of sale ex-works which means that the freight, marine insurance
is all the responsibility of the buyer. This means that the loading you do is a courtesy. You should be ok, 99.99999% of containerized freight is trouble free, however when it goes bad it is usally
a big mess. Make sure the deal is ex-works, not fob, not delivered. Need further help, e mail me,
I do this all day long with wines, spirits and malt beverages.

As a license customs broker, let me suggest you have the buyer check the import regulations for Norway. Every country has different laws concerning imports, and motorized vehicles can sometimes be very restrictive, work closely with the buyer to resolve this issues. Norway may not allow this type of vehicle into their country?, be careful with the freight forwarder you use, U.S. Customs lowered the boom on Danzas a while back for violating customs laws.
Good luck........
