Genisis Block

I know this has been going on for years but, a very good friend, Kirt Gardner, and the one person I call for the latest trick to improve the performance of my SO, has seen the latest Genisis Block.
Kirt indicated the machining was excellent, he (the owner and I forgot his name) stabilized the block during casting to prevent 'core shift', bare with me on this, I'm repeating what kirt told. He did this by using the back of the block, there are two screw in freeze plugs, one on each side of the cam plug, from what I understand, FOMOCO used only the water pump inlets to stabilize the block. Kirt is on the list (28) as one of the first Thirty or so to purchase the block, he also said the price for the iron is now $3800,00. and the oil pressure relief hole is not machined??.
Like everyone else, I'm just waiting for a report.

I spoke with Ron Reed from Geneis the other day on the phone and it was at $3410. It seams either the price is creeping north or somewhere there is a mixup in the priceing. He also told me that he had approx 80 on order at that time. Also stated the first ones were planned to be ready for delivery around the first of december.

The first 30 were to be $2400 back in 2000.. Those were all promised to FECA members.. Those guys are still waiting. I am tired of waiting for something which A). May never come and B). May never work.. I spent $10,500 on a 427 MR side oiler last weekend.. Lots of luck..

Mike, your comments about Genesis were exactly what I said about a year ago!, It's really amazing how the prices have skyrocketed on 427 FE stuff in the last few years. You would not believe the stash people have here in the south, I know one guy in stone mountain Ga. that has 5 cammer motors, two in the original Hollman Moody crates, a couple with blowers and one in a 68 conv. stang with 30,000 miles.
In conversations with some of these people, it was mentioned that North Carolina is the hot bed on FE stuff, It was suggested I get up there and drive around on some of those country roads, I would be amazed at what I would find!.
I'm fortunate, I have enought spares
to last, as long as I don't push it to the limit all the time, which is hard not to do when your setting behind a SO.
All we really need is the blocks, hopefully, they will come about.

The only two engines ever made......
