Oil level
Gents.
I know I had seen a thread on this previuosly but I am unable to find it. I have a 427 with a Aviad pan. How do I determine what the correct full oil level should be?? I don't have a stock dip stick and that hole in the block is pluged. I would assume,I know this is dangerous, the correct level would be just below the windage tray. Thanks Gang, Steve D***ey |
Do a search for "oil capacity heads up" by Whaler, I think it's the one you're looking for. I found it with a search for "dipstick"...

Ken,
Thanks that was the thread I was looking for. It appears I have two choices. Fill the pan to capacity and make a mark on my dipstick or aim for 1/2" above my windage tray. Thanks again, Steve |
