Going to pick up my new engine tomorrow
I bought a side oiler , original bore , crank . Cost as much as the kit .
I'm not sure why , but I wanted to go a little faster at times . Going to take the ferry across the sound , to ERA Conn . I'm bringing the 1 year old David and my wife Diane . The suburban is packed with the 390 that I am selling . Should be interesting ! unless I get involved in trying to clean up the engine bay and make it pretty, I am hoping to drive it by friday . After all , I don't show it;I drive it ! |
John 550 HEY John I hope you have snow tires on that cobra:LOL:  . Winter is not over yet. Tell Pete I said HI. Rick Lake

I am very happy!!! Everything went great !
I am glad to have gone this route , that is buy one of Peters own (last ) personal engines . First class build From Danbury Competition . I was surprised to see the amount attention that was given to the build . I have seen alot of 427's , this one was one of the nicest I must thank Peter @ ERA , when I asked him I wanted a scatter sheild , thay had pre set it up for my car (cut lip on bottom and powder coated black ) After seeing how thick it is , that would have taken a bit . Thank you !!! As always the people working the back Doug , Jack help me with some questions , upgrades and parts ! They are lucky I don't live closer . |
