Need 427 Oil Pick-up Gasket P/N

Is the oil pick-up tube to pump gasket a common Ford p/n? Have a 65 C5AE-A 427 top oiler and in the process of replacing the oil pan gasket I had to remove the oil pick-up screen and windage tray. This is the small diamond shaped gasket with two mounting bolt holes and one center hole. Appreciate any input. Thanks!

msinghof,

The cork pan gasket I just installed had the oil pump and pickup tube gasket included in the set. Victor Reinz #OS30764

msinghof Hi go to your local auto parts store and get a piece of gasket paper (fiber) and make your own. Outline the part on the paper and cut on the lines. Use a razor blade. It should take you about 5 minutes to make. Good Luck. Rick Lake

Replaced All Gaskets...Still Leaks

Thanks for the input. Felpro makes cork pan gaskets and their product also includes the pump pickup gasket. Anyways, the application requires two pan gaskets with the windage tray and the end result is...still leaking at the bolts. I think my mistake was running the bead of RTV to the outside of the bolt holes instead of the inside. Will try it one more time.

Be sure you are not using too much tork on the bolts and that your pan bolt holes are indented as both of these will cause leakage. The tork on the bolt holes is only about 10 lbs. I usually make a loop all the way around the bolt holes with silicone.

msinghof You are using the wrong RTV to seal an oil pan. Get spray Hi-Tack, and clean both surfaces with brakekleen. tighen bolts to 15 inch pds. and let dry overnight. Fill with oil and road test. Do you have a PCV valve on your motor?? If the motor builds up to much pressure inside, you will keep blowing gaskets until you get the pressure problem under control. Rick Lake
