Thermostat?
I have a '66 428FE with an aluminum intake with two fours. I have been unable to find the correct thermostat. Any ideas?

I'm running a 66 428 with the edelbrock manifold but I don't think the t-stat is any different than the what's used in the original stock manifold. I bought mine at Kragens and the first one they gave me was wrong. I took it back and he showed me that the part number he gave me is what the computer called for. We then looked at the catalog and it showed a different part number. The catalog was correct. I would think just about any parts store ought to be able to find the right one for you. As far as I know there's nothing special about them.

I have a couple of thermostats in the garage that I bought for my 427 and both were just a little bit too small to fit the manifold comfortably. I got a Mr. Gasket thermostat for Chrysler from Summit and it worked fine. A fellow FE owner passed this tip on to me.

There are two different sizes
There are evidently two different sized thermostats and housings. Thanks for the tip on chrysler for the larger one.
