Well I checked out the web site link posted above pretty closely. You can't read the "data graphs" but it appears that the cryo engines achieved more horse power. This ASSUMES of course the test was done with identical engines and no prejudice. I found no conclusive scientific data on the site itself to determine HOW MUCH strength\wear benefit you get (or even how much h.p. was gained).

I have no doubt you do get some benefit, in wear and apparently horse power gains (that was new to me)!!! Wish I could nail down how much at what rpm at dollar cost per horse power etc.

An impressive list of articles, what the articels actually say remains a mystery, but it IS an impressive list! Those "science guys" are GOOD at what they do, I wonder what they concluded? Great benefit? Some benefit? Worth the price of admission? Would they be able to offer "real world" information on a racing engine application?

Noteworthy customer list! Next time I'm building a $50K NASCAR motor to the max and looking for ANY advantage I can find (cost being no object) I think I'll have it cryoed tanked! :D

Probably good stuff this cryo thing! I look at horse power per dollar vs reliabilty per dollar vs my budget. The jury is still out.........

Ah, I'm probably to skeptical. My "X" IS a research chemist, she taught me to question EVERYTHING until you get it in the lab and prove the results. The "lab" in this case could in fact be "Daytona"!

I actually heard about this company on CNN about 8-10 years ago when they were hi-lited in a story on their newly released deep-frozen product........panty hose. Yes my friends the cold treatment of panty hose does something the the molecular structure that makes it more resilient, extending their life considerably. I understand it was developed by my first girlfriend.

We had a tool suppliersales person came in and demoed drill bits and saw blades. Their claim to fame was cryo,d stuff. The bits were tuff.hard but not brittle.Carbide is hard it will cut hard stuff but it will chip and you're done. Cobalt is used at a slow speed ,you get it hot and you'll lose your edge.These bits were good. They said it was a spin off of the space stuff. Turns out the stuff that came back down after being in outer space was tuffer and harder than before it went up. We are now locked in with Karr produsts as our supplier.The supplier I was talking about didn't come back.

"Wears longer",,,,a drill bit would a perfect tool for the cryo application! Assuming it didn't drive the cost of the bit through the roof of course.
