XR-i Points To Electronic Ignition
I was using a pertronix ignition before in an otherwise stock distributor, but the damn thing quit working, so this time I tried a new one from Crane. It's a direct replacement for points and the cool thing about this module is that it includes a rev limiter. I'm not looking to kill my engine or set any land speed records, so I have mine conservatively set at 5k and have tested it.
So far so good, and at only $70 bucks or so, it was a cheap alternative to the more costly ignition systems out there. http://www.cranecams.com/ignition/xri.htm |
