OOPS. I just looked at a bunch of past threads and answered my own question regarding whether the Genesis aluminum is based on the SO block -- apparantly it is. However, I'd still be very interested to hear about Genesis aluminum pricing and availability.

Keith Craft seems to be working fairly closely with the Genesis people. In fact, I believe he had an all aluminum Genesis engine ready to go, for sale, near, if not at, your price.
