Hi
This matter was discussed on an other website some weeks ago. This site is The Ford FE Garage or TheFordFEGarage@groups.msn.com http://Groups.msn.com/TheFordFEGarage. Check it out under "General", there are some 1300 chat subjects on the message board. There are some discussions on the C/R int. |
Micky Thompson made the intake. It was an interesting piece which met with limited success. Mostly the advantage is longer primary runners without punching holes in the hood. You will find two of the rarest Cobras ever made sporting them, One was made for Bill Cosby and the very last Cobra made was for Carroll Shelby. They were dual paxton supercherged units making well over 600 hp.

From what I have seen and read,
There were two comapnies that made them, Mickey Thompson and I think Edelbrock. With the Mickey thompson, you need to modify the distributor, so it will fit, as there is interference with the #1 port runner. Edelbrock's version has a notch made in the #1 runner so you can run a standard distributor. I believe neither were good for top end hp, whether they didn't breath well, the runners were not right, or there were fuel distribution problems, but they look good. |
Sobrac,
My memory may be fading, but I thought the Bill Cosby Cobra had an inline 2-4 setup when it was written up in the C&D or R&T at the time. |
