427 Medium Riser Heads
Does anyone know the flow numbers for the Cast Iron Medium Riser Heads? I was wondering how they compared to Doves, Shelbys and Edelbrock's Alum Heads. Does anyone know the CC Chamber sizes for the above Alum Heads by different makes? I am trying to decide if it is worth switching out.
Thanks Dan |
Dan , try calling Kiethcraft, they advertise here, and seem to know a lot about head flow for FE.

Dan,
My Shelby stage II's spec as follows: Flow is 320/235 @ .600" [from Shelby data], and chambers range from 78.2 to 79.7 across all eight. [as measured by me]. My iron Med. risers were hand ported, have 2.25", 1.75" Manleys, [same sizes as Shelby's], and chambers are very close at 77.5 to 78.2. Love the Shel's, as I think the raised exhaust floor makes a noticible improvement. Don't know about the other brands but hope this helps. |
