427 Cammer
Hi guys,
I'm going to look at a complete cammer today. This was a marine application motor, but I'm told it never saw salt water. The engine has been crated and wrapped since 1968. Any pros and cons?:cool: |

Well the early cammer prototype was based on the centeroiler. This was before the sideoiler casting came into play. The std marine block is a centeroiler. Some marine sideoilers were just car blocks adapted to marine applications. So take a good look to see what block it is. The std marine block is cast as a sideoiler but drilled as centeroiler. As long as everything is there and machined right it sounds like an awsome engine. Don't forget the brinks truck to carry the cash!. Grab some of the id numbers and post them here. G.

Got to listen to the Dee Walters cammer last weekend in Austin. What a sound, nothing else quite like it. :D

SOHC ENGINE
I was Reading the post I would Like to Add I own A SOHC engine still in the crate. I recived It from a friend who was a service Manager for Ford in the 60's. I dont know what im gonna do with it. It is a sideoiler with 2x4 (no carbs)
I work for PREMIER MOTORSPORTS And I think you would have to cut alot to make it fit. I have another complete sideoiler that I can stuff into the car so it's a flip of the coin I guess. I will e-mail cammer to see how he did his. |
