With a sonic test, you will probably get 40 over for a street engine.

My thoughts on wall thickness are not the same as gt-347. I think you can go as low as .110 depending on the thickness on the thrust side of the hole staying at .115 or better.

If you have a 427 that needs to go 40 over, check with the guys at the FE forum. They will give you the best answers anywhere.

GT-347

It is the 428 SJC that is in my 69 NASCAR Torino Cobra. Right now it is on the dyno and the guy called last night. I should have it back out here next Tuesday. I had the rest of the work the dealer never did finished up with porting and such. Engine has just over 42K on it with that bore and no problems at all except I have to run racing gas. That is as cheap out here now as pump gas anyway.

Ron61, your Torino Cobra sounds like a fun ride. I would be intersted in knowing how it did on the dyno.
